Black History Month

Black History Matters

Black History Month is an opportunity to look back at the past and celebrate the often forgotten contributions of Black people to our society. It's a time set aside to examine the present and celebrate diversity, but also to lament the barriers that Black people still face today. We look forward to a future where all are treated fairly and equally, but we recognise that all need to play a part in creating this.

We recognise that in order for Black people to enjoy the right to equality and non-discrimination, our leaders and governments must take action to change the racist systems currently in place. We pray that governments across the world will act to promote diversity, equality and equity.
